How It Began

Collectively You began with this purpose: to inspire, to encourage, and to share one of a kind art work with the world.

The name came from one question, "What makes you, you?" There are many things that perfectly knit together your unique soul and by collectively bringing them all together, voila! There you are.

I am one of those creatives that can't pick just one medium. I want to try it all because I love it all. I love to create. Watercolor painting is where it began and became my true love. Then I got into acrylic, then oil and pastel, then I tried my hand at looming, then crochet, I dabbled in textured mediums like grout, then I played with cross stitch and sewing. All this to say, as a creator and a marketer, I felt the need to only focus on one thing because people love consistency. But I couldn't commit my soul to one thing because my soul is made up of millions.

So, I decided to offer it all. I'll create what brings me joy and offer it to the world. I'll try something new and make it available for someone to enjoy and use my creation to build and create their beautiful home. I'll commit my soul to continue to love numerous arts and experiment with each to my hearts content.

And because I love to create I also love to create a space for other artists to grow as well. Being a busy mom, I understand that finding the time to market your passion can take some time. I made this website for my work, but it's also a space to share yours too. You'll find other artists come and go on my website and it brings me true joy to showcase other beautiful talents they possess!

This place is a collective of artists and their incredible talents. From whimsical illustrations to intricately designed home goods, Collectively You aims to pull on the heart strings of those who have a natural calling to all things homemade.
